Trick or Treat

Halloween started off by an all nighter at R and M's and some cousin time for Kyle and Sydney! A  couple hours drive home and we were almost ready to go Trick or Treating for the first time... for ALL of us!! ha! yup.... i always wanted to go:)  So a little story time with Karissa ... and my kids literally turned into little animals.
Kyle the chicken ... and Ryan the dragon...

Then a few pictures with all "the pumpkins"...
and we were off. First stop... and the bags were already full! lots of delightful treats here! A Glow in the dark bouncy ball was the biggest hit!
and the little chicken... of course clueless of what was going on  just wanted to chase cats!
second stop: chicken not so clueless anymore.... getting right in there to clean them out of all the sweet treats!

course then it came time  to leave and  the sweet little chicken  turned into an Angry bird! ah....
It was a fun time for all of us, and I think the boys will have some good memories!... but next year... maybe I'll have a costume too!;) ha!

Hockey and Pumpkins

So here are a few of the most recent events in our lives! Ryan recently started hockey and loves it! he is still learning how to skate but he thinks he goes really fast and I am not about  tell him otherwise! Yesterday on the way to hockey he said" mom, my feet are full of fuel so I can go really fast!"  He loves it, and i am not the least bit surprised!

Today we spent the day hanging out with my friend Elena. we carved pumpkins with the boys. Lots of fun! well, Elena did most of them and i managed to do one. One that Randy said... that has nothing to do with pumpkins...  His favorite was the bat. I do like the bat!
Ryan concentrating hard! he did actually do some cutting but mostly pushed out the pieces once they were cut!

Ryan making his own creation. Tomorrow we are going to paint some pumpkins. A little more kid friendly than using knives:)

Elena's Bat. it's the favorite!

My non Halloween pumpkin.

The boys and their pumpkins that Elena carved them.

One of my all time favorite pictures of Kyle. The way he is sitting and holding his little hands is very much him. I love this picture that i almost want to frame it. Even if it is just a snap!

We had a great day! Busy... as is everyday. But memories to share forever and hopefully the boys will remember the fun they had as kids! They even got in a little cuddle... or Elens ws trying to calm them down... yea, sometimes 7pm takes a long time to come!

I always want to remember these days! My boys happiness and energy is infectious  I want to save it for them, bottle it, photograph it. Remember it.I don't want to forget anything So ... I take too many pictures. Hold them instead of working, play with them instead of going on a date. And I pray that they never forget just how much I love them.

They are always such good sports allowing me to photograph them for ages. a hundred photos later, I am almost satisfied!. Although now when I get out the camera Ryan will ask..." mommy, can we just take 2 pictures?"

                                                                    Kyle
